Outdoor Mat/Carpet
(Preview)
For many years we had a TT and used an 'astro turf' type mat outside the trailer. We recently purchased a new 5th wheel and would like a larger mat, not astro turf. I've been looking online for a new mat - but it's hard to determine the quality of a product. What type of outdoor mat/carpet do you use? How l...

How do I get whole house soft water?
(Preview)
We've always had soft water and an on demand (endless hot water) system in our S&B house. I've got the water heater thing handled by installing a Truma AquaGo Comfort (LOVE it) ... as a side note on the Truma, it is very efficient with propane. I thought it would suck our propane tanks dry quickly....

Truma AquaGo Comfort
(Preview)
Like Howard, we tested the Truma AquaGo Comfort instant hot water heater. We installed it in our 2015 New Horizons coach a little over two months ago. The bottom line is that I recommend this system. You can read the full test report HERE.

Backup camera for 5th wheel
(Preview)
Lately, I've been towing our 5th wheel by myself and having to rely on random help to spot me backing into camping spots. My kids are no help at ages 5 and 1, lol. I was wondering if any of you had installed a backup camera on a 5th wheel and if so, what brand and model device do you prefer? I like the idea of moun...

Any recommendations for a portable BBQ.
(closed)
(Preview)
We are looking at BBQ grills. Okay, yeah we are still in S&B but we are thinking of what might be suitable for our future home on wheels that can make the transition. It should be compact and reasonably versatile. We have, so far only looked at the Coleman "Road Trip" grills. I think the...

HUGHES AUTOFORMER!

Well since there has been so much talk about the quality assurance of power to the coach, do any of you run a HUGHES AUTOFORMER? http://www.autoformersdirect.com/ It's getting to the point that one has to be a power-line contractor.

Accessories that make towing easier and safer?
(Preview)
Hi all, I'm new to towing, and a bit scared. Are there any accessories that will make hitching easier? Are there any that prevent fish tailing? Basically, I'm looking for things that will make towing safer. Thanks, Margaret

Backup Power
(Preview)
At present my backup power is an Npower 400w power pack. I love it - when the power goes out it kicks on and lights a 3 bulb tree lamp. One bulb lights the trailer and a second aimed out a window provides a yard light. It works easily for 2 days but the drawback is it takes hours to recharge so my genny isn't rig...

Hitching and unhitching at an angle
(Preview)
Hi, I've only seen people back straight into a hitch. If I had to, would I be able to hitch and unhitch at an angle safely? The space I will have to put my RV in isn't too much longer than my RV and truck. If I could unhitch and re-hitch at an angle I know I'll have an easier time. Thanks in advance, Openmind

Adding A Fireplace

After reading several posts about the electric fireplaces in RVs and how nice they are at taking away the chill in the living, we decided to install one. Our 5th wheel came with a built in 3 drawer cabinet in the living room area. The cabinet holds the TV on top, a built in AM/FM stereo radio/tape player,...

Cover for bicycles on rack

Does anyone have a brand/model of bicycle cover (for two bikes) that they are happy with? It would have to cover two fairly standard adult-size bikes with "comfort" style handle bars while mounted in a receiver-mounted bike rack on the back of a fifth wheel.

I'm not sure I'm in the correct category, but I need input from those of you who have experience with RV washers and dryers. Our new rig is, hopefully, in the final stages of being modified for us. the light change

Ideas on how to view propane switching manifold window

I don't see anything in the forum about what vacuum people are using. Many of the newer RV's have vacuums already installed but if you don't have one, what's the best to get. Do the installed vacuums work well? Please advise. I have a friend also that's waiting for an answer. Thanks in advance
